Read enough Amazon reviews of nonfiction texts, and you'll eventually see one that vehemently expresses the following sentiment:

The book should have been a blog post.

There's plenty of validity in many of these claims—and even some posts that specifically address them. An author needlessly stretches a simple idea into a fluffy, full-length book. Typical tropes with these titles include:
