A week ago, hybrid publisher Scribe Media [abruptly closed operations](https://www.bizjournals.com/austin/inno/stories/news/2023/05/30/scribe-media-shuts-down-and-lays-off-90-employees.html?ref=racketpublishing.com). I can only imagine the frustration of the company's former employees, contractors, and clients. Writing a quality book is hard enough.
